Janette Dillerstone, CEO, Director of PR and Marketing
Janette Dillerstone was co-founder of Wakabayashi Real Estate K.K. and is responsible for the company’s Marketing, Sales and Production. She helps manage the company to meet the company’s financial and operational goals, ensuring profitability of the company. She formulates and implements long and short term plans, policies and programs within the framework of corporate policy with management to achieve approved objectives.
Janette Dillerstone was formerly Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Giorgio Armani and Simint Inc., Italy/USA. Her background in marketing and public relations and her fluency in seven languages (English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and semi-fluent in Arabic and Farsi), she has represented some of the following: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce at the World Fashion Trade Fair, The United States Board of Cosmetic Surgeons throughout Asia and Latin America; The United Nations as interpreter for Chinese Trade and Commerce; Director of Trade Expansion between Brazil, France and the United States on behalf of President F. Collor De Mello (Brazil) and President Francois Mitterand (France); Director of Public Relations – Chamber of Commerce, Westport, CT. She has served/serves on the board and committees of the following: Junior League of Fairfield County; Junior League of La Jolla; Young Women’s League; Scripp’s Institute of Oceanography; Cornell University’s Baker Institute Fund Raising Committee; Chairman and Director of La Casa De La Esperanza Orphanage In Mexico; Adopt a Dog Organization, Greenwich CT; A Director and honorary member of the Westport Teen Youth Commission and a Honorary Lifetime Member of WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization) for her exemplary contributing efforts to women and children in need. Janette Dillerstone has been appointed as a nominee for the 2007 International Asian-American Leadership Awards. She is a member of Amnesty International, Japan Chapter. She is the founder of Invest in Japan.
Jeff Stone
Managing Director
As a Managing Director of Wakabayashi Real Estate K.K., Mr. Stone is responsible for overseeing business development within the commercial property division. Accordingly, he is responsible for all transactional analysis for all portfolio properties of Wakabayashi Real Estate K.K. including purchasing, selling and trading.
Concurrently, Mr. Stone is the Co-Founder and Advisor to Wakabayashi Fund LLC. Mr. Stone is Wakabayashi Fund’s hedge fund manager and is responsible for trading the firm’s proprietary capital. In addition to portfolio management, research and analysis, his duties include business evaluation, corporate finance and institutional sponsorship. Mr. Stone originates new investments and negotiates transaction documentation. Throughout the 90’s, Mr.Stone served with Lehman Brothers where he was First Vice President and held a seat on the Chairman’s council based on annual production, whereby he was ranked in the top 25% of the firm. His duties at Lehman were both on the institutional and retail sides of the markets. Responsibilities included portfolio management for institutional and high-net worth individuals. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr.Stone served as Senior Vice President with Prudential Securities and was appointed to the Directors Council of the Corporation based on annual production. Mr. Stone received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas, Austin. He is fluent in English and currently studying Japanese.
John Castillo
Accounting
Mr. Castillo is responsible for the company's financial strategies, accounting practices, insurance and legal matters. Mr. Castillo’s natural leadership and strategic business and accounting acumen contribute to Wakabayashi Real Estate’s effectiveness and growth.
